The relieving harness or toileting harness has been primarily used by guide dog handlers in other countries such as Australia and Japan. It is quickly catching on in the U.S. as an alternative.

The toileting harness is a nylon belt that goes around the dog's waist right in front of the back legs. It is adjustable with tri glide mechanisms. It attaches with a side release buckle at the top of the dog’s hips. There are plastic clips on the top and bottom. Plastic grocery type bags with handles are used to catch the dog's droppings. One handle of the bag is clipped to the fasteners under the dog. You then bring the bag between the dog's back legs. The dog's tail is threaded through the top handle. You can then fasten the top handle to the remaining clips on the dogs back. The bag will automatically catch the droppings when the dog relieves itself. The bag containing the droppings can then be removed and dispose.

The relieving harness is available in royal blue, fire truck red, grape purple, forest green or burgundy. Please specify waist size and the sex of the dog when ordering.
